Usage & care

  • Let's face it, good knife care makes lighter work of kitchen chores. And we're all for that! Dishwashers may be a godsend for everything else, but not your knives because detergent can cause corrosion and blunt your knives. So always hand wash with a soft cloth and dry immediately. Remove stains with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and wash well before use.

  • Sharpen knives regularly using the sharpener in the knife block, commonly used knives should be sharpened once a month.

  • To sharpen the knife, hold the handle firmly and place your other hand on the block to ensure it remains stable while sharpening. Insert a clean, dry knife into the sharpening slot in the block. Slowly pull the knife out the sharpening slot. The mechanism inside the block will automatically sharpen the blade. Wipe the blade clean with a cloth or towel whilst keeping the sharp edge away from you.
